The details for next Sunday's walk on 8th September are as follows:
We start from Nether Compton which is off the A30 approx. 3 miles E of Yeovil and 3 miles NNW of Sherborne.
It is a 5 mile circular, morning only ramble through lovely pastoral countryside around the village. Probably a few stiles and could be muddy in places if wet. Mostly fairly easy walking.
Pub ‘Sunday roast’ places are already pre-booked for 8 people (in anticipation) at The Rose & Crown, Trent - this is about 2 miles away (by road) to the North of Nether Compton, i.e. about 10 minutes by car. Please contact the walk leader, Jenny, a.s.a.p. if you would like a pub lunch afterwards.
