Compton Abbas

dorsetramblers9

On Sunday our ramble is a morning only circular walk of about 6 miles over elevated, undulating chalk downland from Spreadeagle Hill, South of Melbury Abbas and Shaftesbury.

Extensive views over AONB Countryside. Exposed in bad weather and muddy if wet. A few stiles.

Lunch. There are no cafes available at the moment, so please bring a snack / picnic / drink. (the airfield café is currently closed).

Alternatively, there are several cafes in Shaftesbury suitable for a late lunch (a 10 minute drive away).

Contact us if you'd like to come along.
