Black Down Hill, Portesham

Sunday 24th May.

We will be walking from Black Down, north of Portesham and WSW of Dorchester (via Martinstown), for approx. 7 miles circular walk: Jubilee Trail to Hell Bottom & St Barts. Chapel, Corton. Then Friar Wadden & return on S. Dorset Ridgeway via Bronkham Hill. A mostly elevated route with extensive views of coast and scenic downland. Little shelter. A few stiles.


Two x ½ mile climbs, otherwise reasonable easy going.


Lunch. Please bring a drink / snack / picnic lunch etc. to eat en-route.
